What does ‘sustainability’ mean to the wine trade?
From Wikipedia: “Sustainability is the capacity to endure. For humans, sustainability is the long-term maintenance of responsibility, which has environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and encompasses the concept of stewardship, the responsible management of resource use“
Is sustainability about a concern for the planet, a response to current consumer priorities or simply a business imperative of the 21st Century?
WineConversation: Unfiltered was set up by Vrazon to interview the trade on the AccessZone at London Wine Trade Fair 2012. We asked a number of wine makers, brand owners, and technical consultants to the trade what “Sustainability in the Wine Trade” meant to THEM.
